A Lantern Roof Extension with up to 40% off in Ipswich, Essex and Surrey

A Lantern roof is a stunning way to add the wow factor to your conservatory, orangery or extension. They can also be installed into any flat roof in your home, acting as a beautiful centrepiece as well as an additional window that will make your home feel inviting all year round. A lantern roof is the perfect way to bring some life back into your home and brighten it up, bathing your dining room, kitchen or lounge in natural light.

What is a lantern roof conservatory?

A Lantern roof combines a collection of angled glazed panels that normally surround a flat roof, creating a glass focal centre. With a thermally broken aluminium or uPVC cluster, they provide superb thermal insulation. With solar control and self-cleaning glass, you never have to worry about losing any of the room’s warmth, as it will absorb the heat of the sun. This could even save you money on your energy bills!

As they are designed with our high-quality aluminium or uPVC materials, you will benefit from industry-leading levels of robustness with your sturdy lantern roof, meaning leaks and draughts are eliminated. Our inventive structure incorporates fewer bars, meaning they can hold extra glass. Not only does this mean they’ll let in more of the sunlight, they’re structural integrity is improved. Both materials utilise modern manufacturing techniques and a triple layer storm shield protection to maximise their strength against snow, strong winds of up to 130mph and heavy rain. A premium looking and performing interior with insulated pelmets

An internal pelmet borders the perimeter of the room, giving the impression of a flat ceiling that frames the roof lantern, making it the focal point of the extension. The framing system is fitted with mineral wool insulation, meaning it will reduce heat loss and keep the room a comfortable living temperature all year round.

Its size can be tailored to your conservatory or orangery, ranging in widths from 300mm to 1200mm, providing the contemporary appearance of a full extension with it’s sleek and clean lines. It can be painted in an array of colours to match your interior scheme. The beauty of incorporating pelmets into a lantern roof extension is that spotlights and downlights can beautifully light up the border of the room, giving the illusion that it’s larger than it is and provides a contemporary feel. Speakers can be installed into the internal pelmet for a premium surround sound system for a bespoke modern extension.

An environmentally friendly lantern roof conservatory

Including our advanced glazing, our lantern roofs can reach exceptional U-values of 1.1, which significantly exceeds building regulation standards. Their incredible thermal capabilities mean your room will be kept a comfortable temperature as it lets the cold air out during the hotter months but holds on to the warmth during the winter.
The modern design also involves fully insulated under cladding and eaves rail to keep the cold air out. We can include roof vents so that you can control how much air you let flow around the room.

Adding that wow factor to your conservatory

With a lantern roof conservatory, you won’t need to compromise on performance in exchange for beauty. They provide uninterrupted sight lines and utilise slimline frames to maximise the glazing panels so they are as unobtrusive as possible, giving you more views of the blue sky.

Lantern roofs are the ideal solution if a fully glazed conservatory roof would leave you open to overlooking neighbours, as the flat roof surrounding the lantern roof will provide privacy to your conservatory. They’re also the perfect choice for homeowners who wish to let in the sunlight, without it being too much, as they can be uniquely tailored in size, colour and design to achieve your desired effect. Whether you’re looking for traditional white, contemporary black or something in between, we can design it to suit your individual tastes.
